Key Features
Measurement Modes
Standard measurement groups include FFT, order tracking, octave, swept-sine, correlation, time capture, and time/histogram.
Dual-Channel Flexibility
A unique architecture allows the SR785 to function as a typical dual-channel analyzer (with measurements like cross spectrum, frequency response, coherence, etc.). Alternatively, each input channel can be configured as an independent single-channel analyzer with its own span, center frequency, resolution, and averaging—allowing you to view a wide-band spectrum while simultaneously zooming in on spectral details.
Simultaneous Averaging
Vector-averaged, RMS-averaged, unaveraged, and peak-hold versions of all measurements are acquired simultaneously and can be displayed without re-taking data.
Order Tracking for Rotating Machinery
Evaluates rotating machinery behavior. Data is displayed as a function of multiples of the shaft frequency (orders). Combined with waterfall plots, the SR785 provides a complete history or "order map" of data as a function of time or RPM. It can simultaneously track up to 400 orders.
Octave Analysis
Provides real-time octave analysis compliant with ANSI and IEC standards.
Curve Fitting
Features 20-pole/20-zero curve fitting for frequency-domain data analysis.
Averaging Techniques
A wide selection of averaging techniques to improve signal-to-noise ratio, including RMS, vector, peak-hold, linear, and exponential averaging.
Data Storage & Export
Up to 32 Mbyte memory for time capture and data storage
Data export via GPIB, RS-232, USB drive, and printer port
Compatible with ASCII, UFF, SDF, and MATLAB formats
