Controlled waveform filtering ensures accurate energy allocation regardless of the selected amplitude. Five channels output simultaneously, without the need for rewiring, complex signal multiplexers or impedance matching networks. The 9500B auxiliary function can calibrate the oscilloscope functions, which are often overlooked in other calibrators. The DC and square wave currents can reach up to 100 milliamps, which are used for calibrating current probes. The composite video signal is used to test the function of the TV synchronization separator. The linear ramp is used to calibrate the trigger level mark and check if the DSO has missing bits. The high current 5V to 20V pulse test the 50W terminator protection. Zero offset accurately aligns the pulse edges to evaluate the channel delay of the multi-channel oscilloscope. AUX IN routes the external calibration waveform to the BNC/SMA connector of the active head. The resistance function and capacitance function directly measure the input impedance of the oscilloscope. Short circuit/open circuit output allows testing the leakage current of the oscilloscope input.
